About us

Bisimilaah! Praise be to Allaah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Being a mother is one of the greatest blessings in a woman’s life. It is filled with gratifying and amazing moments. From the moment you become pregnant—slowly witnessing the significant changes your body goes through—to the moment your child comes out into the world and you hold him/her in your arms for the first time, you realize that your life will forever change. The responsibility that you bear as a mother is a huge one. As a mother, you will have to gently and lovingly care for, discipline, guide, and educate your children until they become adults. This means you have the opportunity to shape and influence your child’s identity and outlook later on in life.

You are without a doubt his/her first and most important teacher; but as wonderful and fun as motherhood is, it can also be challenging and confusing. This is why I started the this blog, Muslim Mother Source (MMS). It’s an attempt to help Muslim mothers, new or seasoned by providing helpful tips and sources. Through MMS, my aim is to put together any helpful resources and information relevant to caring for and raising happy and healthy but most importantly righteous children. As Muslims we have to live our lives in accordance to the commandments of Allah.

We have to worship Allah on a daily basis. Our religion is not one that is practiced on a particular day or week or month. Our religion is part of our identity and our ways of life. In order to raise practicing and dedicated Muslim children, we have to be good Muslims ourselves first and we have to have the correct understanding of our religion. We must carefully select the right resources to teach our children when it comes to educating them and disciplining them. That means we can use anything that is helpful to us and our children so long as it doesn’t go against our religious beliefs.

So why did I start this blog?

I started this blog because I enjoy writing and sharing with other Muslim parents whatever I find helpful in raising strong, happy Muslim children, InshaaAllah. In other words, I’m just a Muslimah trying to do good deeds and gain rewards from Almighty Allah(subhanuhu wata’ala) before my time is up in this life by contributing into the world some positivity and khayr and knowledge, inshaaAllah!

About Me

My name is Nimo and I’m the person behind this blog. I’m a homeschooling mother, MashaaAllah; May Allah bless and protect all of our children forever and always, ameen. When I’m not busy educating, and taking care of my children and home, I like to write content for my blog, or that of others. I also like to write children’s stories. I’ve recently published my first children’s book, I Want To Be Like Prophet Muhammad, and I plan to publish more, inshaaAllah. Reading is so wonderful and we can never have too many Muslim children’s stories so I plan to do my part and create as many engaging, educational Islamic books as I can possibly make.
