Since one of my most viewed and shared posts on this blog is the article titled, Evil Eye and Jinn Possession: How to Protect Your Children, I thought it would be great if I wrote another article on this topic again! A lot of people are searching for more information on this topic especially concerning their children.
Although I’m not a scholar of Islam nor a raaqi nor a doctor—haha! So many things I’m not (you’re probably wondering why I’m even writing about this then?!). But I did spend a lot of time researching the topic of jinn possession and ‘ayn for a long time. It’s just one of those things I find interesting. Also, a lot of people don’t have the correct understanding of it. If you simply do a google search, It’s easy to get lost with all of the websites and videos that will pop up. You will come across all sorts of information, some true and some false. This is why I wanted to list helpful links here.
Without further ado, here are the sources I think are the most helpful!
The first source I’ll list is a website with questions and answers about jinn possession, sihr and evil eye. This a link to a specific question about if children and babies can be possessed and the signs and symptoms to look for:
Here’s another great website dedicated to educating people about these topics. You’ll find so many resources such as videos, books, and Quran audio downloads, all free. Another nice thing about it is that there’s a forum section where you can ask questions.
Last but not least! Check out the video series called diaries of an exorcist on Youtube. It’s very interesting because Abu Ibraheem (Raaqi) discusses, in detail, some of the things he came across while reciting Quran on people and why jinn possess some people, children included.
Still confused on where to start?
After going through all of the sources listed, if you’re still confused as to what to do and where to start, here’s what I think you need to do: start by making dua! Whatever hardship, illness or other problem in life you’re going through, best thing to do is make dua daily; also, recite the Quran on yourself or find a reliable Raaqi to recite on you. But more importantly than anything else, be close to Allah and fulfil your duties to Him. Study the sunnah of the Prophet and try to follow his advice and way of life. There’s real peace in submitting to Allah and following the sunnah of the Prophet, sallalahu alayhi alayhi salaam.
If you’re concerned for your child or children, again make dua for them everyday. Also, recite the protection duas and Quran on them every time you leave the house or even when in the house. Depending on the child’s age, educate them on the various duas to recite throughout the day and at night time (Click here to learn about protecting your child). May Allah protect us all from all evil Allahuma Aamin.
